Construction of a grocery store

Testimo2021-07-22T10:38:38+02:00

Small, local grocery stores are making a comeback. After being in love with markets, people are beginning to appreciate local entrepreneurs. Proven, fresh products plus friendly service is a recipe for success. A grocery store can be opened in existing premises, but it is also a good idea to build one. A trade pavilion made of composite panels is cheaper and quicker to assemble that a brick building, and it is not inferior in functionality to it. So how do you build a grocery store from panels?

Stores from panels as a modern solution

When deciding to run a shop, choosing the right location and premises is crucial. Unfortunately, rental prices are not small, plus you get a ready-made facility that you have to adjust to. Building a commercial pavilion allows us to design the space according to our expectations. We decide about its shape, size and appearance. There are no worries that we choose the so-called tin, those days are gone, the current technology and finishing materials allow you to put a building with a very modern styling.

How to build a grocery store using composite panels?

Let’s start with the fact that you can put up practically the whole building from panels. These materials are quite light, with high insulation parameters. The construction of the store should begin with an architectural and structural design. There are many companies on the market offering a ready-made solution, but you can also commission the creation of an individual project tailored to your needs. The next stage is to arrange a building permit. In the case of a facility, that will be used for half a year, e.g. during the trial season, it is not necessary. However, for buildings that are to fulfill their function for more than 6 months, a permit is necessary. The construction of the shop itself is quite simple and much faster that putting up brick buildings. First, erect a steel structure to which both wall and roof panels are attached. OSB board, and e.g. PVC carpet are laid on the floor. Then doors and windows are put in. Installations (electrical, water and sewage, heating, sanitary) should be done. The interior can be finished with plasterboard. If we have the interior ready, it’s time to think about the equipment. In order to build the store you will need, among other things:

  • counters,
  • bookcases,
  • shelves,
  • refrigeration equipment.

The equipment must be suitable for the products offered to allow for proper storage. Commercial pavilions can be finished in many ways including modern elevation, wooden or aluminium elements. When deciding on such an investment, it is important to take care of professional execution. Ready-made objects are also available. Building a grocery store out of composite panels is a very good choice because it’s a practical, cost-effective solution that does the job perfectly.

Composite panels can also be used to construct much larger buildings, such as logistic centres or large-format stores.
